Mob Spawning in Bedrock Edition
Bedrock Edition does not use Java's spawning behavior as a simple replacement. Spawn attempts are strongly affected by simulation distance, the player's position, and the size of the eligible spawning area. A farm that works on Java may have the wrong height, platform spacing, or AFK position on Bedrock.
Bedrock applies density limits to groups of mobs, so a large platform is not automatically better. Mobs can also fill the available population around the player and reduce attempts in the farm. Clearing caves, choosing a controlled biome, and moving mobs away from the spawning area quickly are common ways to improve rates.
For example, test a general mob farm at the intended simulation distance with the player standing at the documented AFK point. If the farm is empty, change one variable at a time: check simulation distance, inspect nearby caves, then adjust the platform height rather than copying a Java tutorial's coordinates.
